My time in Paris was too short.
I loved every minute of it.
As I walked up to meet the tower, I looked up so high. I couldn’t believe how TALL it was! Taller than I had remembered seeing in pictures.
I spent my birthday last year at the Eiffel Tower. My friend and I explored and found as many angles as we could possibly get to, to see it.
We were even able to see it from the hotel we were staying at!
The Eiffel Tower was BEAUTIFUL not only during the day, but at night time. I remember we went back at night to see it shine, and it was the best and biggest birthday candle I had ever seen.
It was fun for my friend and I to get creative while at the Eiffel Tower. We had fun playing with camera angles, perspectives and poses.
Here are 10 ways to get fun, Instagram-worthy Eiffel Tower photos:
1. The Up Angle
When you’re right below the Eiffel Tower, it’s hard to be able to see the entire tower because it’s SO tall. A fun photo to get is having your photographer squat down and point the camera up and pose right in front of the camera. That will give this look.
2. The Selfie Photo
Just like the first photo, have your photographer point the camera up, stand right in front, and hold onto the hand of the person taking the photo, as if you’re taking a selfie with the Eiffel Tower.
3. Trocadero Photo Spot
This is the best spot to get with the Eiffel Tower! It has a perfect, clear view and there are so many areas to get the perfect shot. The first spot on the way to the Trocadero, there is a carousel. Get on the carousel with your photographer, and have your photographer stand back. Swing your leg back and forth looking down as the carousel goes past the Eiffel Tower.
4. Trocadero Carousel
Stand on the carousel and smile at the camera a big cheesy smile. Cause ya know, it’s casual the tower is in the background 😉
5. Trocadero
There are SO many areas to pose here. One is to lean against the ledge and look away. WARNING: there are a lot of people wanting to get this same shot, so going at sunrise is a great time to go. Otherwise, just be prepared to sneak in to get your shot.
6. Sitting On Ledge
This one’s at the same place as the previous, except you sit on the ledge and pop one knee up. Super cute and casual 🙂
7. Touching The Tower
Right in front of the Trocadero, there is a fountain area to go to. If you go to that area and stand on top of the small ledge, your photographer will need to play around a bit to get the right angle/perspective, but it’s possible to get that Instagram-worthy shot of you touching the Eiffel Tower here.
8. Living Your Best Paris Life
If you step down from where you were standing in the previous photo, you can sit, and get this fun shot, with the tower in the back, living your best life.
9. Rue De L’Université
If you walk down Rue De L’Université, you’ll reach a point where there’s a dead-end between there and Avenue de la Bourdonnais. There, the Eiffel Tower is in PERFECT view, and you can get fun shots down a street. Just a warning, cars park here, so be aware that there might be cars photobombing your shots.
10. Evening In Paris
Go back to the Trocadero area, but not quite to that point. Go closer to where the carousels are and there will be a grassy lawn area. There you can get the perfect evening, nighttime Eiffel Tower shot.
So there ya have it! My recommendation is to spend an entire day just at the Eiffel Tower alone – you’ll want that time to get allll the photos. Have fun, explore, and enjoy your time in Paris!
