Bailey + Matt | Engagement Session

Couples

Growing up I would watch allll the Nicholas Sparks movies, read all the John Green books, and was obsessedddd with a good rom-com!

Well, as soon as I heard Matt and Bailey’s story, I instantly knew it belonged in one of those films. And working with these two for their engagement session absolutely confirmed just that. Each time their eyes met, I could see the sparks flying, and I just adore their sweet love for one another.

Bailey and Matt started work on the exact same day at a business called “Growing Grounds” in Bloomington, Illinois. The moment they met, they were instant best friends.

Matt worked across the street and would always have Bailey come over to his building to shut down his register. He said one of the girls always had to do it for him because he wasn’t ever taught how to.

WELLL, later on Bailey learned that Matt actually DID know how to close the register, but he just liked it when she came over to do it, so he could see her.

Okay pause. HOW STINKIN’ CUTE IS THAT?!?! No joke, I swear I’ve seen that exact scenario in a rom-com.

Their first date they stayed in, ordered pizza, and watched a couple of movies. The evening was spent talking and getting to know one another better, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

One favorite thing that Matt and Bailey love doing together is they love going to the movies frequently. Bailey told me: “we have to see every Marvel movie in theaters as soon as possible!”

Definitely a couple after my own heart.<3

These two are getting married this October, and ohhh my goodness I just cannot WAIT to witness it and am honored that they chose me to capture that perfect love of theirs for their wedding.

We did their engagement session at Funks Grove Nature Preserve in McLean, Illinois, and the perfect Autumn day was a DREAMMM.

Their wedding will be held at the same location, and I cannot wait to experience the perfect, popping colors, and breezy weather.

Now if it can be October already that’d be great, because I need these two back in front of my lens, because they are a walking love story, and I’m ALLLL about it.<3

xoxo
