Chicago, Illinois | Top 5 Best Photo Spots in Chicago

Features, Uncategorized

When I first entered the wonderful world of photography in Chicago, I knew there were so many good spots for photos, but didn’t even know where to begin.

Well, over the years I have developed my favorite spots to photograph in Chicago, IL and am sharing my top FIVE favorite Chicago photo spots.

1. North Avenue Beach
North Ave. Beach is by far my favorite photo spot of them ALL! It has a perfect view of the Chicago skyline, and there are several angles that you can reach it from. HIGHLY recommend making North Ave. your go-to!

2. Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk
Lincoln Park, specifically their Nature Boardwalk has the infamous honeycomb golden arch. From Lincoln Park there’s also a view of the city (not as much as at North Ave.), and one of my favorite things about it is the variety in the space. There is so much greenery (lol in the Spring/Summer time only) and beautiful trees and areas for photos. Such a great space for weddings!

3. The Chicago Riverwalk
This one’s a classic. It’s right downtown and gives allll the downtown feels. It’s less of a far away skyline view, and more of an up-close view of the buildings all around, which is also fun and an option to give variety.

4. The Wrigley Building
The Wrigley Building is very close to the Riverwalk, and there’s a space right outside that gives a beautiful view of the city! This too isn’t as far away as North Avenue Beach and Lincoln Park, but still gives a further look than the Riverwalk.

5. The 606 Trail
This one isn’t a view of the city, BUT has so many other fun things about it! The 606 Trail is 2.7 miles in length, and was an abandoned rail line that they converted to be a trail. There is fun artwork all along the trail, as well as coffee shops and stores nearby. You can also get photos of the L while near the bridge which a lot of couples love. Highly recommend the 606 if you want something different!

Alrighty, so there are my top five Chicago photo spots. Let me know which are YOUR favorite spots to photograph in Chicago!
